Synopsis

This chapter focuses on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the educational sector, highlighting its potential to revolutionize learning environments while presenting unique legal and ethical challenges. The authors explore how AI is transforming traditional education systems through personalized learning, automated assessments, and data-driven insights, enhancing both the efficiency and accessibility of education. At the same time, the rapid implementation of AI raises concerns about data privacy, intellectual property rights, and ethical considerations in the use of technology for educational purposes.

Key issues addressed include the adequacy of current legal frameworks in governing AI applications, the need for data protection compliance, and the ethical implications of integrating AI into education. The chapter emphasizes the importance of developing clear legal standards and ethical guidelines to support responsible innovation while safeguarding the rights of all participants in the educational ecosystem. Recommendations are provided for legislative updates, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the establishment of ethical codes to ensure the balanced and equitable use of AI technologies in education.
