Synopsis

This chapter examines the growing impact of immersive technologies, such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), on the agricultural sector. It highlights their transformative potential in crop production and livestock management by integrating digital tools into traditional farming practices. The study discusses how immersive platforms can enhance resource optimization, reduce environmental impact, and improve productivity through applications like virtual training environments, real-time data analysis, and precision agriculture.

The analysis also delves into global examples where AR and VR technologies have been successfully implemented, from modeling climate impacts on crops to optimizing animal welfare conditions. Additionally, it addresses challenges such as high implementation costs and the need for skilled personnel. The chapter concludes by emphasizing the role of these technologies in modernizing agriculture, promoting sustainability, and fostering resilience against environmental and economic challenges.
