Prof. Ramy El-Kady is a full professor of criminal law whose research explores the intersection of law, technology, and emerging forms of crime. His academic specialization lies in criminal law, criminology, and digital forensics, with particular emphasis on the challenges posed by cybercrime, dark web criminality, and cryptocurrency-related offenses. He has contributed extensively to the study of digital evidence, AI applications in law enforcement, and blockchain forensics, addressing both theoretical frameworks and practical mechanisms of regulation. His work also examines international and comparative criminal law, focusing on cross-border cooperation in combating cyber-enabled crimes and the evidentiary burdens associated with metacrimes.
