Open Access Policy

Metaverse Science, Society and Law is published under a Diamond Open Access model, which ensures that all content is freely available to readers worldwide without subscription fees or article processing charges (APCs). The journal is committed to equitable access to knowledge and to removing financial barriers for both authors and readers.

Key Principles of Our Open Access Model:

  • No Fees for Authors
We do not charge any submission fees, processing charges, or publication fees. Authors are never required to pay for the evaluation, editing, or publication of their work.

  • No Fees for Readers
All journal content is freely accessible online immediately upon publication. There is no need for institutional or individual subscriptions.

  • Creative Commons Licensing
All published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, reproduction, and adaptation of the work, provided the original author and source are properly credited.

  • Author Rights
Authors retain full copyright of their work. By publishing with us, they grant the journal a non-exclusive license to distribute and archive the final version of their article.

  • Permanent and Free Archiving
All articles are archived and preserved via trusted long-term digital preservation services such as the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN).

  • Support for Global Equity
We are committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity in scholarly publishing. The Diamond OA model enables researchers from all regions—particularly those with limited access to funding—to publish and disseminate their work without cost.

Compliance with Open Science Mandates
Our Open Access policy is fully compliant with initiatives such as the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information, and supports funders' open science requirements.
